Although Dr. Coons seems to be a competent dentist, the refusal from his reception staff (one of them who happens to be the doctor's wife) to comply with COVID safety protocols is unacceptable. Despite one's personal beliefs about the pandemic and/or the benefits of mask wearing, a medical facility should be following every single CDC guideline always. Considering this was not a one-time event, it's clear that the staff has no respect for the patients and are not the bit concerned about their health.

I don’t normally write reviews but I had a really bad toothache and Dr. Coons stayed late to get me out of pain. He is a great dentist!

Dr. Coons is my dad and I think he’s awesome. He always makes me floss though

The staff at Dr. Coons office in Atascadero, CA is knowledgeable and friendly. They ease any concerns you may have by letting you know what’s coming next and checking on you periodically during your appointment. The office uses an automated system to remind you by text message of the appointment the day before and 1 hour prior to the upcoming appointment.
