Horrible experience! With no warning he started cutting my dead bone out of my mouth with very sore sensitive gums. It was abusive the way he wouldn't tell me anything and was extra mean and rough because he accused me of being rude to a staff member. I had no idea what that was about. Stop mid procedure to yell at me I don't have to do this TWICE! I was traumatized, crying in the chair. I am 47 and have never experienced anything like his treatment in my life.
Dr. Shaffner is a good doctor but I was ridiculously mislead about the pricing and rate by his staff and had to pay an additional $700+ as a STUDENT AFTER INSURANCE 80% coverage for TWO wisdom teeth. If you’re going, definitely ask for a paper estimate before. I will probably never be going there again.
BAD experience. All about $$$$. No pre-op/post-op excercises explained AT ALL - not even a mention. No idea what I should expect - NOTHING! Appointments messed up everytime for a total of 3 times (from secretary - verbally one date - written another - issues with 3's and 8's?). Dr spoke with me throughout this whole experience of over 4 months since first appointment - total of 5 minutes. After much consideration I decided to put my trust that an implant was my best option. I was assured they have over 99% success. Well mine got infected and had to be removed causing extreme bone loss. He showed zero empathy and even charged me to remove it. I was in shock and when I questioned him he went silent quite literally. This was devastating after all I went through to get it and paying $4000 for one tooth lol.
