Dr. Shaffner is a good doctor but I was ridiculously mislead about the pricing and rate by his staff and had to pay an additional $700+ as a STUDENT AFTER INSURANCE 80% coverage for TWO wisdom teeth. If you’re going, definitely ask for a paper estimate before. I will probably never be going there again.
BAD experience. All about $$$$. No pre-op/post-op excercises explained AT ALL - not even a mention. No idea what I should expect - NOTHING! Appointments messed up everytime for a total of 3 times (from secretary - verbally one date - written another - issues with 3's and 8's?). Dr spoke with me throughout this whole experience of over 4 months since first appointment - total of 5 minutes. After much consideration I decided to put my trust that an implant was my best option. I was assured they have over 99% success. Well mine got infected and had to be removed causing extreme bone loss. He showed zero empathy and even charged me to remove it. I was in shock and when I questioned him he went silent quite literally. This was devastating after all I went through to get it and paying $4000 for one tooth lol. I got my wisdom teeth out at this office and the experience was amazing. The doctors and nurses were so friendly and made the whole experience amazing. Highly recommended.
Dr. Shaffer and his staff were very warm and welcoming. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed, so I was put to sleep. They explained how and what was going to take place and assured me everything was going to be fine (I am petrified of dentist). After waking from surgery I felt absolutely no pain, no discomfort, nothing. Recovery was a breeze. Would recommend 10/10
