Dr Boulaine preformed a reverse shoulder arthroplasty ( replacement) using a Brachial nerve block. Although awake through the surgery I was totally comfortable! The catheter for the block remained in place until post op day four. So remained minimally pain. Even after the nerve block was discontinued! My suture line is fine and won’t cause a scar. I was totally traumatized when I broke my hip. I believed I was going to lose my leg...then I woke up after Dr. Boulaine did surgery and I discovered that Martin had replaced my broken femur head with a titanium component. It's been 2 months today since surgery and I'm walking on my titanium hip...carefully...but I'm walking on it! Thanks, Dr. Boulaine! God bless you! You saved my leg!
