Worst experience I’ve ever had. He is a complete liar. He told me to dispose of my alprazolam, and I had a officer sign off on it witnessed it like he told me to do and then I go in to be able to get put on Valium and then told me that he was not going to, so he completely lied to me and now he has left me without no medication. Worst doctor I’ve ever been in contact with
So disappointing a doctor in the community as well as a Thoroughbred racehorse breeder can be so irresponsible and negligent. Shipping 25 of his neglected broodmares to slaughter, leaving the rest of the equine industry to step up and do what's right. There are so many other options for responsible retirement available, Dr. Martin Grotheer should be ashamed of himself.
This man who is suppose to be a caring person sent 25 mares that he has owned and bred for years to a kill pen. Would do nothing to help them. A rescue had to fork out over $30k to get them out and is now paying the bill to care for them. If the rescue hadn't paid for them they would have been on their way to Mexico to become slaughtered.
It is deeply hypocritical for someone holding the title of a doctor—a profession rooted in protection and care—to send the mares they owned to a kill pen. It is utterly disgraceful. Someone with that mindset has no business being trusted as a medical professional. Instead of stepping up to ensure the safety of the animals that helped fund their lifestyle, they chose the most cowardly route possible. It shows a complete lack of empathy and a disturbing sense of superiority over living creatures.
