Worst doctor. Appt on 5/5/23 due to abdominal pain. NP examined me and he dropped by to introduce himself. Schedule me for CT Scan and endoscopy/colonoscopy. CT Scan result showed that I have a mass-like density in my pancreas, liver lesion & lymph nodes. Panicked & called doctor. Office called after 2 days and scheduled an earlier endoscopic ultrasound & colonoscopy, blood test and PET scan. When all results came out, it's obvious that I have pancreatic cancer. I just made an appointment today August 23, 2023. I have never had an issue making an appointment with the staff. Scheduling went fine. I don't like doctor's offices to begin with, but I will be fair in my assessment. They did a good job.
I must agree with the rating on the scheduling staff. I just called the office after receiving a letter to schedule my 5 year appointment. The person (Jackie) was very short and seemed like I was bothering her. Since Dr. Ruderman retired I asked if she could check who had an opening as soon as possible. She told me every single of the 7 doctors in the practice was booked up to June. I explained I had just been released from the ER with a referral to see a Gastroenterologist. Cannot talk to a person to get an appointment. Was put on hold for 30 min and then they hung up. This is typical of Digestive health. I talked to the office manager in Dothan and she said they could not get people to help. This has been going on for 2 years.
