I recently had my first colonoscopy at Beebe. Dr. Wilkinson came in prior to explain the procedure to me and calm my nerves. He has a great bedside manner and you can tell he takes a compassionate approach with his patients. I highly recommend him.
I've been a patient of Dr. Wilkinson's for 5 years. He treats me for ulcerative colitis, gastraporesis and hiatal hernia. Always takes his time during appts and explains everything thoroughly. Listens to me and includes my opinion in any treatment plans for me.
Dr. Wilkinson has been absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. He has gone over and above with his care, compassion, and his communication. For 3 days my 18 year old daughter was alone in the hospital in Delaware, while we, her family reside in Arizona. Dr. Wilkinson called me and explained everything that was going on and the tests the hospital was running and what each one meant. He has followed up with her and helped us get testing and referrals in Arizona to continue her care.
It took 6 months to get an appointment. My appointment was first thing in the day. I waited 2 hours and left without seeing big the doctor.
Stopped seeing him as he did not take time to explain the conditions that he was diagnosing me with and would push pills as the only solution to feeling better. I knew there were alternate methods which required hardwork and lifestyle changes. When I suggested this he literally scoffed at me and said I was welcome to try on my own but he provided no feedback for managing symptoms without meds. Two years later, after a lot of work & googling I have my symptoms controlled without meds or his help
