I have been a patient of Dr Mallinger for over 20 years. He was amazing during my high risk pregnancy and several other cervical/ovarian issues through the years. His caring bedside manor kept me calm during less than pleasant times and he has always taken as much time as I needed to understand everything that was happening.
I had some issues with bleeding after having my IUD removed. After bleeding daily for a few months, I started an appointment with Dr Mallinger. He said the issues I was experiencing were very rare and unusual. I found out later this wasn't true - with the particular brand of IUD that I had, up to 50% of women experience similar issues. Dr Mallinger decided I must have hypothyroidism (even though my blood work showed normal thyroid function). and prescribed levothyroxine.
