In the early 1980s Dr. Mark F. Sands and the emergency room staff at Millard Fillmore Hospital saved my life. I suffered from chronic asthma, stop breathing, and died. I was comatose for more than a week. I lost so much oxygen to my brain, when I finally woke up I didn't recognize my family, and lost the ability to read and write.
