My daughter was misdiagnosed with Celiac disease by Mark after he had refereed her to a pediatric Gastroenterology at Canberra Hospital. She had a negative gastroscopy and biopsies(meaning no celiacs) . His reason for diagnosing Celiacs was she wouldn't have the celiacs enzymes without being Celiacs. Nope wrong, shes a type 1 diabetic and that has a high percentage of throwing a false positive on a celiac enzyme blood test, thanks new gastroenterologist and endo for the updated info. Dr de Souza was very professional, friendly and gave very helpful advice and treatment for my 7 month old baby. I didn’t feel rushed and he actually listened to my questions and concerns. The staff at the front desk were also extremely friendly and helped me with the door and my pram. Will definitely be recommending to friends who need to see a good paediatrician.
Is a great paediatrician and has been amazing takes time and understanding of our special needs children would highly recommend
Dr De Souza is definitely a wonderful paediatrician, but I honestly think he should be working back up at the Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. He's able to quickly diagnose and treat in the case of a medical emergency. Knowing how understaffed the hospital is up there (In terms of not having enough doctors) it would make sense for him to be working up there in the childrens ward.
