During the last few weeks of my Mom's life, Maritza Palusiak called me outside the hospital room at Dearborn County Hospital and said "What a shame she did this to herself... sad". Maritza Palusiak was filling in for one of Mom's regular gastro doctors who was on vacation. Her words will forever haunt me and I was in such shock that I couldn't respond.
