First, I would like to say that this survey form took the liberty of writing a review for me. . . It was deleted and replaced with the following. I enjoy the doctor, but there are a few very annoying practices that need to be mentioned. Billing is a mess and very difficult to handle. The doctor tends to sell things during his visit. While I think some of these are for charity, I have to question the wisdom of cornering patients and suggesting they buy a book he wrote, a workshop he is sponsoring, a flu shot just before it ex... read more
I had heard from a friend that Dr. Maki was a great doctor. She may be--I never got a chance to find out because her office staff was so incompetent that they said they took my insurance, made me wait two months for an appointment, then told me they didn't take that insurance--despite the fact that Wendy Maki is listed as a provider on the site (and they had taken the insurance at that office when I went to see a different doctor for a more urgent situation that I couldn't wait two months to address). If you didn't want certain vaccines for your child, did the pediatrician respect your decision? Not at all. They wouldn't let me leave unless my child got every vaccination Does this provider leave you on hold for a long time when you call? No, they are really great about answering the phone right away Did you feel safe in this provider's care? Mostly, I was still a little nervous Was the waiting area spacious? Yes Does this provider maintain a professional appearance? Yes, he/she looked very professional

Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen. He is an amazing doctor no matter what anyone says he knows medicine better than anyone that is why he has won all the awards he has. I would rather have a doctor who is not the warmest but knows his medicine inside and out.
