I saw dr nambiar for around 2 years. At the start i was confident in her to help me but it became clear shes very opinionated and doesn't really listen. Wait times can range from "on time" to over an hour late, the longest i timed waiting was around 1.5 hours. Its extremely hard to wait like that when you suffer chronic pain. Dr Nambiar is pure gold!! Dr Nambiar is the best GP I have ever had! We have now been with Dr Nambiar almost 20 years after a very lucky recommendation on our move to Canberra. She takes care of the whole person not just the symptoms and you never feel hurried. Dr Nambiar was pivotal in a diagnosis for my daughter that other supposedly more specialist health professionals had missed. I cannot thank her enough for that and her ongoing support and care. Dr Marie Nambiar gave me strong medication in 1998 for my swollen neck and considered it an acute sprain. I actually had glandular fever. After taking the medication, I ruptured my duodenum (the medication deemed the likely cause) and I almost died at age 19, requiring days in emergency and a following hospital stay. In my opinion, Dr Marie-Ange Nambiar is an outstanding GP who the community is fortunate to have. I have been her patient for over 20 years and I dread the day she decides to retire. I have lived and worked all over the world and never have I encountered the professionalism and caring medical attention I receive from Dr Nambiar. Whenever I have been referred to a specialist, they have without exception commented how lucky I am to have her as my GP as she is so thorough.
