Surgery from this man in 2004 caused me life-long trauma.
I had a truly disappointing and harmful experience with Dr. Marc Laufer at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I was told I would undergo excision surgery for suspected endometriosis on June 9, 2025, but instead received an ablation — and no tissue was sent to pathology, so I still have no confirmed diagnosis. No! Please safe yourself and don’t go to this doctor or take your daughters to Marc Laufer at either Boston Children’s Hospital or Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Please go on Facebook and follow Greater Boston Endo and search his name. My daughter lost 5 years of her life in his care.
Dr Laufer is an amazing physician. He is patient, kind and understands the frustration behind years of searching for an answer and being unsuccessful finding one- his bedside manner is second to none (and I work in healthcare). He LISTENED to my daughter, provided VALIDATION and asked questions about her symptoms- and was then able to provide the ANSWERS with a well thought out and executed treatment plan.
