Its ok to question your recovery, but to have a dr who is at a teaching university to not know anything abpit a certain kind of spine surgery you are concerned with. lt is not acceptable in her field. She really needs to study more on spinal traumas, if she would have been my neuroligist at the time of my hernia, i am convinced by her actions i would have been in a wheelchair for life from cauda equina syndrome. Probably the most attentive doctor I've ever had. Only doctor I've ever had that gives you more than 5 minutes of their time and doesn't just have her nurse practitioner see you and then come in behind for a summary. She really cares and values her patients. As for the treatment, I dealt with lower back issues over time and she has offered different avenues of treatment all with the goal of recovery and really laid out a care plan that fit for me at the time. I highly recommend her.
