Dr Plumb was the best therapist I ever had. I saw her for a few years and she helped me greatly during my formative young adult years. She helped me navigate an abusive relationship and work/life balance as a single mom. She helped me quit smoking and drinking, she helped realize why I was reliant on substances and helped me notice my patterns. Dr. Lucas Plumb is a highly unethical therapist who wrote a letter to Sonoma County Family Court to support a child custody case. The problem was that her statements were not based on her personal observations, but rather hearsay from a vindictive client of hers. CA Board of Psychology found sufficient evidence to open a case against her. Do not engage with this therapist.
Dr. Plumb was very communicative and helpful in getting a family member of mine mental health help!
Nice office space, really cozy. My partner and I went to Dr. Plumb for maybe a month or so before we stopped going. I was having many issues in my relationship, and I felt she was extremely biased. It was obvious she favored my partner. I felt like I wasn’t heard at all. Come to find out there was a HUGE issue that came to the surface when we were no longer in therapy. If only I had been listened to, maybe it could have come out sooner before more damage was done.
I went to Dr. Plumb a few years ago. I was seeing her for a variety of issues, including suicidal thoughts, but also was hoping for help with my family. I hadn't been able to get past some resentment toward them but really wanted to. ...she told me my problems couldn't be fixed, that I had to just ignore them (my family).
