Dr. Blackwood is one of the most caring physicians that you will ever have the pleasure of having your OBGYN care. She's been helping me on my journey with dealing with PCOS and trying to conceive for the past couple years. She's one of the very few that will actually sit down and listen, while also taking her time to answer any questions you may have. She's an amazing provider and the best OBGYN in the area.

Dr. Blackwood completely mishandled my miscarriage. After finally learning that my pregnancy was "no longer viable" she prescribed a medicine for me to take at home to take care of the "remaining tissues." I was provided very little instruction or guidance and when I did call her office for help she didn't retrun my phone calls for three days. Idid weekly blood tests to ensure my hcg levels dropped and after four weeks she had her nurse call to tell me I had a misscarriage which obvi I knew.
I have been a patient of DrBlsckwoods for 3 years at her former practice. I will definitely schedule my yearly exam with her at Total Women's Heath. She is very thorough and personable. I had a scare earlier this year, it could have been cancer, Dr Blackwood made me feel confident that the testing she recommended was the way to go, and happily the results were good. I felt like she really cared.
