I waited for months to get an appointment with Dr. Arya--which is fine with me, as I am willing to wait for great care. She was recommended to me by another doctor to treat my IC. Our apt go moved to a phone call because of Covid, which is understandable. Dr Arya listened to my symptoms for about 5 minutes, and then proceeded to tell me over the phone that I, in fact, do not have interstitial cystitis--despite being treated and struggling with symptoms for the last 10 years. She is an excellent physician and is very compassionate. She is brilliant and I trust what she says
I found Dr Arya to be extremely good. She was very helpful in explaining the treatment options for my condition and when I chose to have surgery she explained what the various procedures entailed, how I would feel post operatively and the restrictions I would face afterwards. She made sure I understood the risks of both the surgery and anesthesia and answered my many questions fully. I felt very confident in her hands and my surgery and recovery have been uneventful. I definitely recommend her.
