I know this was literally 11 years ago, but Dr. Hunter delivered my baby when I was 19. She disregarded my entire birthing plan, probably due to my age. I also very vividly remember being absolutely hysterical directly after giving birth, and she literally said to me "Why are you crying?" Dr. Kessler (O'Rourke) was my actual OB and she was amazing, but unfortunately wasnt delivering babies that day. She said my birthing plan was wonderful and signed off on it. Dr Hunter delivered 4 of my children and she was very helpful and my children arrived healthy and safe ! Mom of Jude Brennan Daniel & Eden. Dr Hunter is smart kind and engaging
Pros - Quick appointment times, short waiting room wait time. Kind assistant and admin team. Cons- very cold uncaring beside manner. Does not offer pain management options despite new pain management guidelines published by The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in May 2025. Actually tried to talk me out of pain management telling me I didn’t need it. I feel that this is a HUGE red flag for a provider who cares more about their comfort than your own.
’ve had wonderful experiences with Perinatal Associates—a truly outstanding practice. I delivered my daughter at GBMC, and my OB/GYN there has been exceptional. Unfortunately, our most recent visit did not reflect that same level of care. We made an appointment and specifically requested a female physician for my daughter, who has suffered from a lot of pain.
