I do not understand Dr. Hurley's negative reviews! My husband and I both found him engaging and forthright and have no hesitancy, whatsoever, about continuing care with him
I was referred to Dr Hurley after an ER visit for bilateral kidney stones. Over the course of one year, I underwent two unsuccessful ESWL procedures and multiple renal ultrasounds. Dr. Hurley did not seem to remember me or what he had done from visit to visit. 15 minute appointments ended in less than 10 minutes. Despite presenting with flank pain and hematuria well into the ninth month of treatment, no further diagnostics were recommended nor was a 24 hour urine test performed. Also, I was appalled when my concerns were dis... read more
Was a patient years ago after being referred by my pcp for a prostate issue. Always rushed, the last time I saw him was for a cystoscopy due to so.e blood in my urine. The day of the procedure I was brought into a room, prepped with the bed facing the door this poor excuse for a doctor forgets something and leaves the room and doesn't shut the door or pull the curtain so I could have some privacy and there were other patients and staff right outside the door. Needless to say I have never gone back to him after that.
Excellent, I have been a patient of Dr. Hurley for a number of years and he is always professional and helped me through some medical issues.
Poor experience. Didn’t introduce himself to my 80 YO mother or me. Called her “ dear”. Asked her what meds she was on: she has moderate Dementia and an extensive med list was provided at check-in. Either nurse didn’t provide or he didn’t look. He did spend adequate time and answered my questions. However, his manner was surprisingly poor given his education and training. Asked that his office f/u with PCP but that didn’t happen. Sloppy care.
I have NEVER felt so rushed. His nurse asked few questions.--I told the nurse I didn't have time for this--showing her the specimen cup--she said"Oh--don't worry about it"..needless to say never used the cup. Dr Hurley came in-bing bang boom--honestly. First apt and not in his office over a minute. he said--oh kidney stone-you should be able to pass it-here's a prescription-go for another x-ray Friday-make a follow-up apt for next week. Sad when a specialist cant take time with his patient
Totally unprepared for each appointment. Only spend 2 minutes on talking without enough communication. Checked me without gloves on. Very uncomfortable. Do not have patience to listen do not care about patient history. Only spend 2 minutes on my appointments then jumped back to his phone calls. Not responsible at all!
Dr. Hurley comes into the exam unprepared regarding the patient. My husband has been his patient for years due to prostate cancer (which he treated successfully) but when we came to his office and told him that now we are dealing with colon cancer he was surprised. We had called the office and spoken to his staff several times before the visit and had told them of this problem. When told of the possible complications of the cancer he gave us a terrifying description of possible outcomes.
