Know Dr. Barsky for a long time. Very honest and caring doctor, who explains you cons and pros of possible treatments, and will listen and suggest options. I live with two cats for 15 years and have visiting husky - without medications... just because instead of advising me to get rid of cats doctor suggested to try immunotherapy, and it worked! 4 years were enough, and if not a viral pneumonia which resulted in three pages of allergies... would stay put for life. My allergy Dr.Barsky.Lev is a great doctor. He combines expertise and willingness to listen and discuss medical issues with patients,gives them plan of treatment and follow up care. Every time I come he treats my asthma very well. His staff is very friendly. He sees Pediatrics patients also. I would strongly recommend dr. Barsky to my family and friends.
Excellent great doctor. I had severe allergic in my hands. In 2 months, I feel very well . Although I live in Staten Island, I go in Brooklyn to his office. Thank you doctor
Stay away. The office handling insurances in a shady way and can result with extra expanse and unpleasant calls. One month after my son's visit we received a call from the office reception. The conversation was in not professional attitude. After I've tried to clarify the issue and asked to provide the name of the caller they hang up. I'm planing to file official complain but would like the community to stay away from office with no understanding of professional ethics. (while in the office we
UGH, Don't waste your time w/ Dr Barsky... so horrible! Took my frail mom here and before I finish explaining her med history, he stops me several times, being condescending the whole time. He scolded my mom for wincing as he pricked her and said she's negative w/o examining the test sites. Later I see that there are 7 that clearly reacted (some had turned red & raised in the room). He was rude, unprofessional, and didn't do his job. Now we have to look for another allergist to do this all over.
Called in to reschedule my appointment, the receptionist began yelling at me and told me to be quiet. After a quick hold she came back and started yelling again and told me I don't have an appointment. She was so angry and rude I couldn't believe it! If this is any way the Dr.'s office is run than Im thankful I didn't go here.
