I would not recommend Dr. Bank's services to friends or family. Dr. Bank made a specific assumption about me, my health issues, and my personal life, though his assumption was untrue, it was still bothersome to hear his opinion.
I was a patient of Les in South Africa in the 1980s. I was in my mid-twenties and living in a foreign country with no family, sick and often hospitalised. Les was kind, thorough, knowledgable and took the time to explain and discuss my ongoing condition. He 'popped in' to the ward frequently when I was an in patient. 30 years later I am still so grateful for the compassionate professionalism Les showed me.
I didn't have confidence. He ran to the idea of implants before he even looked into organic solutions. It sounded like he was more excited about trying the device than about me. He brushed off any concerns I raised.
I started seeing Dr. Bank some years back because he was recommended as a doctor whom was the one in the area whom took care of people with HepC and my gastro retired. I have always felt like he feels he knows it all and you know nothing. I brought up at a visit about having a heart attack and he had the nerve to tell me I didn't guess he needed to read my troponin level at 7.9 . oh you might have had a small blood clot, like really ? Currently treating me for gastroparesis and has been my doctor for five years. Good listener, his prescriptions and treatments are working for me and he is easy to talk to. Also did my colonoscopy at age 60 and made it easy.
Very through doctor who will explain things in a way you can understand! Highly recommend!
Dr. Bank is an exceptional doctor that takes time with his patients. He is very compassionate and he treats each patient like they are family. I highly recommend him.
I woke up during a colonoscopy screaming to have it removed. They immediately put me back under. Dr. Bank then went into the waiting room (after the procedure) to tell my mother that I was "hysterical" and "irrational" and that I might need to seek counseling. Are you kidding me! I WOKE UP WITH SOMETHING SHOVED UP ME AND IN GREAT PAIN! Of course I was hysterical. Needless to say he is no longer my Dr. The worst, and I mean WORST bed side manner ever.
You are correct.my girlfriend went in for a procedure he did it even after she said im not out .he put her in a lot of pain.she said she would never go back to him
