Dr. Ostler is the best gynecologist I've ever had. She is patient and she really listened to me. I have struggled with gynecological issues my entire life. She was able to root out the cause and provide effective treatment for me. I am forever grateful. I had to have some uncomfortable procedures done. She was so great at reducing my stress and making me feel as comfortable as possible. I followed her from Millcreek to the University of Utah. I'd love to know where she is now. If anyone knows, please post. Thanks!
I would not recommend Dr. Ostler to my worst enemy! Run! She missed my end of pregnancy pre-eclampsia which led to blood pressure so high that I had a SCAD heart attack, and I am now left with an EF of 45 (heart ejection fraction of just 45)-- referring to my heart's reduced ability to pump blood throughout my body now.
Very kind, patient and knowledgeable. Dr. Ostler gave me the level of care I wanted (I am a fairly hands-off, independent patient, I don't like having a bunch of tests if they don't change anything, and I don't have a lot of questions or concerns about things in general) without making me feel like I was doing something wrong or not properly caring for my fetus. I was suggested to Dr Ostler from an infertility support group by a few patients. Sadly she is not well versed in IVF nor the high risks associated. Seemingly nor the high risks associated with a "Geriatric mother". Once I finally got pregnant, instead of doing a quick early scan to check for viability, her nurse simply scheduled a next available pregnancy appointment. Dr. Ostler and her nurse were lovely. She has a very soothing bedside manner. She's very thorough, and takes time to explain things as she goes. She is super smart and very nice, and she listens carefully to things you say.
