Dr Leif Thonell is an exceptional doctor with lots of knowledge, he detected my AF just by taking my pulse and then confirmed it with an ECG on the day at Kelvale Medical Group. I am now undergoing treatment that is mitigating blood clots that could lead to strokes and hart attacks. Thanks to Dr Leif Thonell this threat is now significantly less. Rude and dismissive… my 80 year Mum, who has Parkinson’s and memory issues called for a script, instead of telling her nicely that repeats must be at the chemist (prescribed by her usual Dr who is on holiday), he told her that she must be selling her medication as she should have enough! He made her feel absolutely horrible.. not the first time he has been like this with female elderly patients. I will be calling the practice to make a complaint. Please go to another Dr at this practice
I brought one of my clients to see Dr Leif Thonell, I recommend people book to see another Dr …my client has dementia and is in a lot of pain with her leg …he never even so much as looked at her leg. I asked several questions to which he was dismissive, with very little to no explanations. She has now been hospitalised because of her knee/leg! Always a great experience with Dr Thönell. He is always punctual and the staff are always helpful. He is a very professional doctor who takes time to explain to explain treatment options and diagnoses. I had a stellar visit and I highly recommend this doctor and clinic.
