I am a cardiologist who has been at Duke for over 15 years. I grew up in North Carolina and am proud to call Durham home. My father was a physician and my mother was a nurse so I always thought about going into medicine. Cardiology came most naturally to me during medical school. Such an amazing doctor. Not only is he a leading expert in the field of cardiology, but he can also recite studies and research recommendations for just about anything heart-related. Even better? He has an amazing personality, cares greatly about you, and is quick to respond to questions you email him...unheard of for most doctors. If you need a cardiologist, you will be in great hands!
Lacks bedside manner!
I have been seeing Dr. Liao for 6 years and find him to be a great listener and a thorough professional. He has a warm personality and a smile even when tired. He is prompt on any follow-up required and asks if you have questions and provides concise answers to them. Born in N.C. and educated at Duke Medical School with the full support of all Duke Medical facilities. I highly recommend Dr. Liao to family and friends.
