Our dog went in for something that was easily treated for less than $200 (one ear infection). Ended up spending $2,000+ and have to rush our dog to be treated at another facility + emergency surgery. Which the surgeon found that it was causes by a severe "injury", likely during an examination. From what would be $200, we ended up spending $8,000.
Dr. Mehaffy is one of the best veterinary diagnosticians I've had the pleasure to take my pets to. She is very thorough, she listens, and she is never hasty. She and her practice are very flexible and have helped me send my dog's bloodwork to a special lab. Also she has referred my dogs to specialists when appropriate. One time it took five vets, including two specialists, to figure out how to treat my dog's rare condition, and she was the one who made that happen. Highly recommend!
