My review from 2020 has been deleted by Dr Maddock. He completely misdiagnosed me and did the wrong operation on me and made my condition worse with absolutely no remorse. Do not risk your health with this man.
This will be my third time reposting my deleted review. I do not recommend Dr Maddock. He forgot to bandage one of my phlebectomy incision sites, causing it to fuse to my compression stocking (as witnessed by a nurse at Sandringham Hospital when I went in to the ER for help with it). When I saw Dr Maddock a few days later for my post surgery appointment, he kindly trimmed the part of the vein that was hanging out from that same phlebectomy incision site (can provide photos). I was recommended to Dr Lachlan Maddock for the removal of my Portacath by my Oncologist. I was very impressed with his caring manner & professionalism over the phone and in hospital. His approach in explaining my procedure put me at ease with any concerns I had. Also everyone at HOLMESGLEN Hospital I had interaction with on the day were wonderful. Going into hospital anytime can make you very nervous.
Approximately 2 years ago, I needed surgery to remove my Varicose Veins. After being recommended by others to Lachlan, I contacted him and we arranged an appointment which lead to a very successful surgery. Everything went extremely well and I felt very comfortable with Lachlan. 2 years later & no issues whatsoever. An extremely professional individual with great knowledge. Thanks for your help Lachlan, you were brilliant!
As one of Dr Maddock’s patients, I can say first hand that his professionalism, expertise and approach is second to none. He is kind, considerate and respectful, always available to talk to both pre and post surgery. I highly recommend Dr Maddock. He brings great skills and a caring manner to what can be a daunting experience.
