The mission at Shriners is... "Provide the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment." I am sorry to say, in our case, there was no high quality care, nothing family centered and most definitely no compassion. We waited a reasonable three weeks to see Dr Hammerberg, and were really looking forward to his help and care. We got neither. My daughter and wife were both in tears ... read more
