My grandparents had an appointment at 5 and were seen at 8pm. They waiting 3 hours to see the doctor which is ridiculous. They were the only ones in the waiting room and the doctor was locked in his office, not seeing his patients. We were worried why they weren’t home yet and called the doctors office to confirm if they were there or not and were close to calling 911 because we thought they went missing. Diagnosed with Stage IV NSC Lung Cancer with pleural metastasis in Oct 2010 with a median survival of 7.5 mo, my father's 1st oncologist suggested pleurodesis and aggressive IV chemo. She said that my dad might get an extra ~3 mo at the cost of harsh side effects. We went to Dr. Khai Vu for a second opinion. He gave oral Tarceva and said not to do the painful pleurodesis.
