My daughter attended Inova Kellar partial hopsitlaization (counselling) program for mental health services. For 6 hours a day she had to talk about things that had made her depressed in the past and listen to other people's problems. She felt it was very depressing and after a few days she couldn't stand it any more. My kids have been going to this practice for several years now and today was the last straw. It seems that every time we have an appointment to see them, they always have a poor excuse for the extremely long wait period and poor customer service. I understand that unexpected things happen, but it's no excuse for the lack of communication and courtesy to let you know that it's going to be awhile before a doctor sees you, especially if the staff knows that it's going to be longer than an hour. A very knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff who work very hard to solve your problem and help you feel better.
1 hour 15 minutes before anyone saw us. Another 3 hour 45 min waiting for sonogram. Wondering why services in ER is so slow. But one thing the registration was quick to check if we had insurance or self pay.
I would see Dr. Carty ONLY!! The rest cannot be trusted to remember who you are or what is possibly going on with you even through they are holding your chart. The office staff is pretty good right now but it has been miserable in the past. Dr. Carty does care if the office staff is not working well, I've seen changes after speaking with him though they always seem to get the bottom of the barrel to work there. This family practice is convenient. They always take you and always have space for you. The doctors are patient and explain any questions you may have. However, if you have to get blood drawn, be careful. There have been a couple times where they couldn't find a vein.
I have been seeing dr carty since I was 10. I am 26, but as much and little as I see him he is always caring and always trying to help me. He is my family physician and I would recommend him to everyone. He is an awesome guy and we love him to death.
