i went to the emergency room in fort thomas complaining about shortness of breath and told him my other symptoms (sore throat, congested sinuses, ear ache, etc..) he told me he has to rule it out for anxiety until after proven otherwise. he did a covid and strep test, both negative. ordered an EKG, had abnormalities but didn’t mention it. told me that my symptoms are just anxiety (didn’t know anxiety could make your throat hurt and have a stuffy nose?) but said “i’ll give you an inhaler if it makes you feel better.” turns ou... read more

Brought my 84 yr old Mother to the ER @ St E. Sadly we got Dr Ziegler He was condescending & rude. Told her not to come back unless her BP was over 200/100. He ran not one test & did not examine her. I guess he doesn’t own a stethoscope nor does St E provide one. He needs to watch the old movie The Doctor with William Hurt. He might learn about compassion & kindness. Misogynistic pig, called me "sweet heart" and my gallbladder pain a joke. When I told him I was a nurse he told me if I knew so much, then to go back to school and get my MD. He never examined me, never ordered any labs, diagnostic, or test. He looked at 2 day old labs and xrays told me I was basically fine and threw a temper tantrum when I told him his carafate wasn't working. I ended up at my MD's office straight from the ER. Probably one of the best doctors at St. E Florence. He actually listened and communicated well. I am a very difficult case and with a slew of rare problems that most doctors don't understand. His bedside manner is very good. He made me feel like his equal. He didn't talk down to be and he involved me in my plan of care. I wish he wasn't at Florence because I dislike that hospital so much. Just know, if you get Dr. Ziegler you're in competent hands.

Apparently after seeing this doctor at the Florence ER for a severe case of laryngitis, terrible sore throat and cold and in need of a strep test, this doctor wrote in my medical chart that my visit didn't constitute a "true emergency"...resulting in my insurance company rejecting the claim and costing me $400. Thanks, doc, for adding insult to injury
