I was in the worst pain in my life. I even went to the ER. Gaylord did an endoscopy. He did not do the treatment that I was supposed to have. He wrote in my notes that it was anxiety and directed me to take one pill! I am an RN with many years experience. Save yourself from pain and a condescending doctor.
I was a little concerned about the 1-star reviews for Dr. Gaylord, but I had a very positive experience. He did a colonoscopy for me in early 2024. Everyone in the center (Novant Wilmington Gastroenterology) was very personable and professional, and it was a very good experience! Dr. Gaylord was very personable and professional. I had my colonoscopy with Dr Gaylord and found him to be very personable. He put me at ease with his conversation and the whole team was just great. Prep wasn’t bad either!

Awful bedside manners. Go somewhere else. Gaylord doesn't deserve the title of doctor.
