My rating is for Dr. Schendel only. Rating his staff is something totally different. Dr. Schendel has been my primary care physician for 10+ years. My sister is a long-time patient of his and recommended him. He exhibits sincere interest and care in treating me and has never hesitated to refer me to a specialist. This is horrible. I’ve seen Dr Schendell for 20 years. He’s always been my primary care and internal medicine doctor, and helped me through many issues. When trying to get an appointment, it took over 5 phone calls to verify my new insurance, since Dee and John never returned my called over 2 weeks. When I finally got Iola to answer the phone, she was able to verify immediately. Just went there this week..no problems..best doctor for many years.
I’ve been going here 3 almost 4 years and never have been treated in this way!! The new receptionist is very rude! She refuses to let you speak with the dr. Refuses medication refills! Gets smart and sassy with an attitude!! Very unprofessional behavior especially when she says we’ll do you want medication or not like I’m some addict!! Then hangs up on me when I ask her what her issue with me is!!!! Very sad especially when Mary and joy were absolutely amazing together like family!!!
I’m so devastated. This has been my whole family’s Dr. for over 20 years. I called in the middle of a health crisis and they he new office manager Dee said she wouldn’t allow me to talk to the Dr because a new policy that said I have to come every 3 months. I was there in Feb. I called back several times and she laughed and said “nope” and hung up.
