When going through a mild stage of depression, he informed me it was hereditary and I would always have to deal with it. I was put on a high dosage of [a brand name SSRI] and later [another brand name SSRI], after having experienced bad side effects. No counseling was set up or discussed. A dark time in my life. SSRIs should not be pushed by a GP without antiquate support!
Has been my primary doctor for 4 years. Excellent in every way.
Dr. Smith thoroughly explores any concerns a patient raises and he devotes sufficient time to his patients. When I visit Dr. Smith for physicals or whatever, I always feel he closes the loop by answering all my questions and appropriately referring me to specialists or for medical testing to follow up on real or potential medical concerns.
Dr Smith is wonderful, but unfortunately his staff is horrible as far as follow up and answering the phone. I have been trying for a week to talk to someone in the office with absolutely NO luck at all. All I get is recordings and "please leave your name and number" After leaving my name and number half a dozen times and no call back, I"m sick and tired of this. If I didnt like Dr Smith so much I'd find another doctor. Plus, the minimum wait time is 1 hour, regardless of what others say.
Dr. Smith has been my doctor ever since I moved to the St. Louis area in 1988 (29 years). He has provided excellent care - very knowledgeable and personable.
I have been going to Dr. Smith since 2009. He is the one doctor, really the only doctor, who actually takes the time to explain what my condition is, in a way I can understand. In a way that helps me change my life to a healthier life. He is never in a hurry. He is just a GOOD family doctor!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Smith's for many years. He is very knowledgeable and personable.
Dr. Smith is very thorough listens with care does his best to get to the bottom of the issue . What I like the best is that Dr. Smith is personable and he cares. I would not trade Dr. Smith for anything he's been my doctor for 18 years and my entire family goes to him.
