I was hit by a car going 40 miles an hour and luckily Dr Hood was on call that night at the hospital in Tucson. Among many serious injuries the ligament on the left side of my neck was completely destroyed so I had to have fusion all the way down except for C4 and C5. When I first woke up from the coma I was paralyzed on my left side. We didn't know that I would ever walk again. My paperwork said I was internally decapitated. Dr. Hood did spinal fusion on me a few weeks ago. I went for my follow-up today. I got down to two choices in who I wanted to do my surgery. God was watching over me when I decided on Dr. Hood.
