I believe this woman is now treating me at the New Orleans VA Medical Center. I've been to the office twice. She talks AT me, asks me nothing. Prescribed me a pain med without asking me what I could take, then got angry when I told her I couldn't take it. I'm now 3 months with the same broken wrist. Bout to see a private doctor through Veterans Choice because she not pleasant to work with at all...especially while I'm in pain.
Guessing Dr. Babineaux doesn't read these reviews about her office staff, and that's a shame. I was in the middle of setting an appointment with the nurse when I was disconnected. I waited a few minutes for the nurse to call me back and when she didn't I called her back. That's when a different person answered the phone and as I started explaining I was a new patient wanting to see Dr. Babineaux she cut me off and told me that I would need a referral. My son broke his wrist and we were referred to her. We really didn’t deal with the staff to much, but they were nice when we did. Dr. Babineaux was great, explained things well, and answered our concerns without giving us BS answers.
While Dr. babineaux is an talent surgery her office staff is unbearable. Been trying to get medical records and unless you pay up front they wont give you your records. My son can't get paid from work without them and they keep saying they don't have a request I would suggest going anywhere else but this place. Even if she is talented this office is impossible. The staff thinks patients are a bother and are more worried about playing on a cell phone then helping patients.
Horrible manners. Insulted me post op. I was in intense pain and asked if I was taking meds to handle my emotional instability. Told me I didnt have a tumor that I did have. Which she ended up removing and ended up leaving me in pain because I refused to tolerate her insults. If you can help it....see someone else. I unfortunately had to use UMC
