I see Dr. Atkinson and found she listened very well and understood my complicated medical issues. She provided me effective medicine, therapy recommendations, and referrals.
Too many problems to go into them all. Overall, they pretend to care about their patients but when their care causes a negative outcome, they refuse to accept any responsibility. And abandon the injured patient. So disappointing
Wait was too long, nobody has two hours to see a primary care doctor for a well-person checkup.
The RN - inexperienced, mistakes happen - gave me a tetanus shot too close to my shoulder, resulting in bursitis that required physical therapy and orthopedic help. Although the office admitted their mistake, and the orthopedic concurred with the diagnosis, they refused to waive the bills for the 2 follow-up apts that they asked me to come to address their mistake, and treated me like I was the villain. Where is common decency and compassion? Not at this clinic apparently.
Over ten years I was her patient, but did not see through her manner to what was beneath it for too long. She sometimes does not tell the truth or give accurate information. Inaccurate diagnoses many many times. More interest in the business than the medicine. Good business person, lousy physician. Imperious, self-important, unable to admit mistakes, often uninformed to an embarrassing (to me) degree. Kate, Miranda and the whole integrated team of medical professionals are dedicated to their patients and go to great extents with compassionate care. Shopping local is important. Local family doctors are so valuable and rare. Get to know this practice if you're seeking the best personal experience that conglomerates cannot provide.
Stay away. She's crazy. She is a bully and doesn't know what she's talking about.
Dr. Kate and staff are attentive, flexible, knowledgable, and kind- my newborn daughter and I continue to be patients there despite the hour drive from my house! They're the best!
When I walk into AFP I’m with trusted friends who holistically want what’s best for my health. Sometimes medicine is the answer but other times nutrition or mindfulness or therapy answers were best. With these services and a lab right in the fabulous Atkinson Building, getting all the health care I need is convenient. Best of all Dr Kate is an awesome human being.
