This doctor failed to tell me any side effects to watch for after prescribing me a smoking cessation med that upon googling can cause serious neuropsychiatric changes including insomnia, depression and mood shifts. I stopped it on my own and haven’t felt that way again. She also refused some requested hormone lab testing saying “it’s not medically relevant” when I am wondering why I am terribly stressed for no reason that seems to be resistant to medication. If you don't mind being on hold for an average of 18 minutes just to talk to the staff, I deal with many Dr offices and this one is by far the worst at answering a phone, I understand they could be busy but 9 times in a row all different times of the day, if your THAT busy, hire on another person, it's not fair to the patient Then when I go in for my visit, nobody's on the phone, go figure
I just started seeing Dr. Iyengar and adore her and her staff! She's the first Primary Doctor to listen and have a great empathy.
All of my interactions with Dr. Iyengar have been extremely positive. My appointments are never rushed. She asks for my input and addresses any questions or concerns. I am grateful that I was able to find such a caring physician after relocating from another state.
