I went to this therapist when I was 16. Not only was she judgemental, but she also pushed her religion and political views on me when I told her multiple times that I was not christian, nor did I agree with her views. She also gave me bad advice where she told me that because I'm a masochist, I should be happy when my partner denies me sex. This woman really screwed me up. I've been seeing Dr Unger for just over 4 years now. She helped me through a horrible breakup, as well as a not so successful one & is guiding me with my current relationship. I'll admit, as someone who is part of the LGBT community, I was a little nervous at first but 4 years later I am very pleased. She is very friendly, knowledgeable & personable. If you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community, this therapist is not for you. I was told I would not be able to find the relationship I want with another man, that only a woman could satisfy what I needed. Her website says biblical counseling upon request, I never requested that service and in fact stated I did not want to be counseled in that way. She still pushed her agenda on to me.
