Helping patients make informed decisions about cardiovascular care while encouraging them to maintain a healthy lifestyle is what I love most about my clinical work. In addition to patient care I am engaged in research on patient preferences quality of life geriatrics and aging and stable ischemic heart disease. Outside of work I enjoy activities with my husband and three children whether it is at a school or sporting event a family camping trip or another type of adventure. I also enjoy running trails and downhill skiing.

Doctor Karen Alexander is the best doctor I have ever had. She is well-informed, up to date on current studies and research, and takes the time to listen to concerns and explain alternatives so that you have the best information possible about your condition, ways to treat it, ways to get proper nutrition and exercise. She spends the time needed and doesn't seem hurried or distracted. She gives her full presence and attention to her patients and has a phenomenal bedside manner.
