Never talked to me throughout the process of my hysterectomy and 2 months later found out she didn’t stick me up correctly leaving gas around my liver and in my shoulders, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER FOR ANYONE!!
I regret my hysterectomy performed by Dr. Finkelstein. I was scheduled for a minimally invasive robotic hysterectomy. Everyone involved in my medical care including Dr. Finkelstein knew before surgery that I had a large 20cm sized uterus with 15+ fibroids. The outcome of my surgery was I received a 7 inch incision to remove my uterus and the 5 robotic cuts. Dr. Finkelstein did NOT notify hospital staff that she converted to a large incision to remove my uterus, I was released from the hospital in less then 2 hours after surg... read more
Dr. Finkelstein may be a capable doctor, but her compassion and kindness are absent. Know this if you choose her for your care. She never made me feel like more than a chart. Every one of my appointments were rescheduled and/or at least 90+ min wait time. Had surgery and wasn’t able to talk to her until 3 weeks later (no complications, no cancer= not important). Overall my experience with Dr. F made me feel violated and ignored. I know doctors are busy and many are overworked, but a little kindness from your doctor goes a lo... read more
This doctor was 1 hr. 45 min. behind my scheduled appointment. It wasn't until I was called back that I was told she was running behind schedule. I was there for a cancer follow up re: full hysterectomy. The nurse was asking me things like "when was your last menstrual cycle" and "are your periods normal?" When I was escorted to an exam room, I waited in there long enough for the motion light to go off 3 times! She walked in, introduced herself, sat down at the computer and began typing. She said my estrogen Rx had interacti... read more
Excellent and caring practitioner. I put my life in her hands, and she’s never given me cause to doubt her. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
Dr. Finkelstein is not only extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and skilled as a physician, but she also has a campassionate nature and treated me with kindness and warmth. She has a gentle spirit and confident hands. I felt as though I was in the care of a beloved sister. She listened to me respectfully. My entire experience from first office visit to post operative care was top-notch. She believes in what she does and will do whatever it takes to provide the highest quality of care.
Dr Finkelstein was overly aggressive with chemo for my mother. She treats studies, not patients. Sadly, my mother died of kidney failure due to chemo toxicity when no measurable cancer was in her body. Dr F said she was in remission. Even when we voiced our concerns about the poor kidney function lab results, her response, that still haunts me, was, “but studies show....”
Dr. Finkelstein is a decent person. Some days she will be cold and calculated while other days she's sympathetic and kind. I guess it depends on how she feels that particular day. Her chemo suite is the most unfriendly environment. You're only allowed 1 guest at a time. They pretend they're busy in the back when in fact there are numerous seats available for other patients. If you want a friendly warm environment when receiving chemo, go somewhere else. This place is not for you.
I was referred to Dr. Finkelstein by my MD in Durango, CO. She was very knowledgeable, on time for my follow-up appointments and I was pleased with my surgery.
