i was SO disappointed by the lack of bedside manner during my appointment. i understand doctors are busy but kindness, empathy & making patients feel heard is SO important. the interaction was so cold and dismissive and i left feeling worse emotionally than when i arrived. a little compassion can make a huge difference especially for patients already struggling.
Dr. Chisholm was very helpful. She figured out my health problem. She is very smart. Thanks to her. I am feeling better now.
Had a routine EMG with Dr Chisholm on Thursday at Atrius Health. She was 20 minutes late for my 8:00 appointment. She was annoyed by me asking for a second pillow for my procedure. She didn’t explain anything about what it entailed and barked out commands for me to follow. Barely spoke and honestly she didn’t seem to care about my condition or what she was doing. Got a sarcastic “Have a nice day “ When we were through. I didn’t respond and walked out. No meaningful patient engagement or professional demeanor.
