Always on time, and scheduling is easy. I have been Dr. Chelliah's patient for a year now and I have never been more confident in a doctor's ability and compassion. I have recently decided to move my child's care to Dr. Chelliah.
I was referred to Dr Chelliah from my OBGYN during my pregnancy. After calling the office 4 times in the span of two weeks, I never got a return call in order for me to set up an appointment. When I did get in touch with the front desk, the lady was extremely rude and unhelpful. Would not let me schedule an appointment even after my OBGYN had sent my records and referral information over twice. Will be finding another doctor to see. Disappointing experience.
Dr. Kanaka is always on time, which is such a rarity these days. She never makes the visit feel rushed and truly takes the time to listen to me. I struggle with asking for help, but she picks up on that and addresses the concern head on, instead of brushing them off like other doctors I've seen. I started seeing Dr. Kanaka during COVID, drawn to her reputation as the 'Most Compassionate Doctor.' I had been looking for that quality in a doctor for years. However, my first appointment with her felt unusual—she stood in the corner of the room, wearing a mask and shield, and maintained distance throughout the session. Today was my second appointment and I can't tell you how refreshing it was to walk into a cool, clean, and quite office. Even better is the fact that she is punctual. No waiting for 30-60 minutes in a room!! She addressed all my concerns with care, was thorough and didn't give me the 411 on why I don't want certain things. The office staff has always been helpful when I call as well. Would highly recommend.
