called this neurology office to ask about becoming a new patient. The interaction started poorly. The person who answered the phone spoke with an attitude and sounded irritated from the start. Front desk staff represent the entire practice. Tone matters, especially in a specialty office where people already feel anxious or vulnerable. It's hard to be a woman with a new medical provider. You're not sure if you're about to be condescended to or dismissed, but you're ready for anything. Those fears were gone the minute I walked into this office. Reception was lovely and calm, the nurse was relaxed and funny, and Dr. Ben-Othmane was so genuinely kind and attentive. I have been seeing Dr. Ben-Othmane for many years for very hard to treat migraines and he is the best. He is very compassionate and has an excellent bed side manner. He truly cares about his patients. I travel across the water to see him and it is well worth the drive.
