Great Doctor, But Stressful Billing Experience I had an endoscopy in 2023 and paid my $800 deductible before the procedure, but a few months later I started getting more bills for around $500. I couldn’t afford to pay at the time, and eventually I was sent to collections and dismissed as a patient. Then in 3/2025, I received a check for $218.81 saying I’d been overcharged, which was really upsetting after everything. Doctor has addressed and treated very promptly in my behalf.
Office never answers nor is there a recording to leave messages. Frustrating
I read other reviews so when I say I have left numerous phone messages to please call me, no one ever returns my calls, it's not an uncommon practice. When I walk into the office the 3 to 4 girls are sitting, and chatting away about their personal problems. Finally the reception asks who I am. I called a different GI Doctor and was told I need a "Transfer of Care Letter." OK how can this be accomplished when I can't get anyone on the phone? I will edit my review and say, Dr. Byju saw this and had someone reach out to me to resolve the issue. I know the office staff is out of his control but something needs to be done with the way things are handled. It was very disheartening to know I could be dismissed as a patient over $50, when they have been paid thousands for my Care. Thank you Dr. Byju.
