I wasn't important enough for him to correct my spinal problem. His resume said that he was one of the few Dr's who could repair my spine, but according the message I received from his team. My case wasnt interesting or my insurance wasn't top notch. I'm very disappointed. I drove over 2 hours for office visit and went back for xrays on a Saturday.
Outstanding doctor. Very thorough, kind, polite, and great great follow through on what happens next. He and his staff are amazing.
I went to him regarding surgery to my neck/ lower back. I needed to see which one should be done 1st. He took x-rays & never showed me them. He would only look at my back & told me to go see Dr hassensaddah in northern VA because he did my back surgery & it's was only a couple of hours away.i had to drive to uva which is already a 2 hr drive. I was without words. It was as I was wasting my time . When I got home I looked up Dr haasensaddah & he doesn't even work in VA anymore & I am NOT going to Bethesda. He is a bad example... read more
Dr. Smith at UVA Neurosurgery is an OUTSTANDING Neurosurgeon! I would recommend him for any procedure including but definitely not limited to back surgery!
Dr. Justin Smith took away all the pain I have had for 55 years. I have scoliosis and had 2 other fusing surgeries and was still in terrific pain after 3 years from the second one. Constant back spasms and nerve pain and had drawn over on my left side and couldn’t straighten up. He went in and straightened my spine and added 8 rods in my hips and spine levels L2-T10.
