You hope that when you receive less than good news, the doctor you interact with is sensitive, caring, kind, encouraging and like they're on your side. I'm going to find a doctor that possesses these qualities. Or perhaps I will just talk to Dr. Tan's assistants because I didn't feel worse after talking to them and I never felt talked down to.
Dr. Tan was less than supportive of my goals. I can only assume that if I were younger woman, she would have been more apt to help me. Instead she tried to talk me out of getting treatment. She left me and my husband feeling alienated and discouraged.
At my first appointment as an infertility patient, Dr. Tan spent about 5 minutes with me. She gave only one option and did not listen to my questions and concerns. I stopped seeing her since I need a doctor who will spend time with me and discuss multiple options.
Wasted my time! Dr. ?Tan and my team wasted my time. Scheduled my appointment more than a month in advance, only to not see me when I came in. I drove more than 45 minutes to my appointment and was told I would have to be rescheduled to another department more than another month away. The staff was helpful but did not try to make the situation right. I will never go back to her. Unknowledgeable is the perfect word to discribe her!
