Unfamiliar with my case although I have seen him several times. Non stop talking about his being constipated by eating too much lima beans, while he was reading his notes. Took my BP and tapped me on the knee. Did not elicit a patellar reflex, but whatever, going through the motions. When I wanted to tell him about my neurological issues, he told me I would have to leave because he had another patient. Refilled my prescription. Wont go back.
Rude. As a person I would not recommend this doctor as a physician there is better in the area He Wasn’t able to empathize and over reacted when asked for a written summary for a disabled client.
Dr. Barrera is a great neuro. I had gone to several neurologists not just in PA, and he was the one who was able to diagnosis me with myasthenia gravis. He is both professional and yet familiar with his patients.
I really like him. He’s right to the point, and doesn’t waste any time. He never keeps you waiting and He always does what he can to help. Office staff and nurses are great too.
The office staff and nurse was very nice but Dr. Barrera called me a mean name and offended me and i explained To him I’m switching ALL of my doctors from the poconos to Scranton so i dont Have to commute. He pre-judged me for certain medications I’m prescribed and then prescribed me a medication i TOLD HIM. THAT I TRIED AND MADE ME SICK. He’s judge mental and arrogant. I will Be calling the office to let them know i will Not be teturning
I was referred to one of his colleagues by a neurosurgeon. He walked in the room and blamed me for being late, when I was 5 minutes early. He made an assumption that the neurosurgeon billed me an unwarranted amount and proceeded to ask me how much the visit cost. He then, among many other things, made an assumption after reviewing my family history and asking many ignorant questions, asked me if my parents are in jail. Completely unprofessional and out of line.
