Dr. Kesterson is by far the best doctor I have ever seen and unfortunately I have had to see too many ! After 17 years surviving breast cancer I went to him for uterine cancer. He did a robotic hysterectomy which wasn’t easy because of prior genetic issues and surgeries. I’ve never had him as a doctor but I’m speaking for 3 women who are too intimidated to speak due to not being believed. I don’t know how he has such high reviews with how he treats certain female patients, elderly ones in particular. Shaming them for their anatomy, blaming them for the reason he can’t do a certain type of exam correctly, as well as cursing during a consult. Being made to feel bad for seeking more answers. Amazing! Hysterectomy, slight cramp in recovery. Went away before I left. Needed no pain medication and the whole team at UPMC were wonderful. Dr Kesterson has a gift from God. I highly recommend
I saw Dr. Kesterson two years ago at Hershey. I had to have a cyst or tumor taken out. He also repaired scar tissue and repaired an umbilical hernia. The surgery did not go well. I had a adverse reaction to the fentyl and was in recovery all day in and out a few times and then could not wake up so the staff had to call a rapid response. My blood pressure went down to 30mmHg. I ended up in Surgical ICU for 4 days. They had to give me Narcan to wake me up. And after that, they did not give me any pain killers just Tylenol. At ... read more
