My husband had a wisdom tooth to be removed and found out there was a large cyst in the bone below the tooth. The cyst had to be surgically removed after the tooth came out, so we've gotten to know Dr. Mauro and his staff quite well. To find any Doctor who TRULY CARES about his patients is a rare find these days, and Dr. Mauro has shown over and over to us how much he truly cares. His staff has been wonderfully helpful and caring. Highly recommend!
Dr Mauro is an excellent oral surgeon with a wonderful personality. Aways nice to have a friendly doctor to put you at ease. His front desk staff are very efficient and personable also. Highly recommend.

Got both of the kids wisdom teeth out today at Dr Mauro's in Mt Pleasant. This dentist was amazing. The whole office was nice, fast, inexpensive and best of all they stitched up the sockets with dissolvable stitches to aid in healing. Within two hours after being home they called to check on the kids. I would recommend anyone needing wisdom teeth removed to check them out.
The office reception staff was AWESOME - friendly, efficient and fast. We give them 6 stars!!! That is, however, where the great review ends. Husband said Dr Mauro was the roughest Dr he has EVER experienced, even since his days in the military 40 years ago. He said the assisting nurse was even worse - kept gouging the sides of his mouth & lips with the suction tool. He actually has an abrasion on the corner of his lip and a bruise on his upper lip that is far from the extraction site!! He said the Doc slipped with the plier... read more
Since yellow pages does not work, (trying for 3days) submitted my review via google. Very positive highly recommend Dr Mauro & his competent staff.
Very professional, skilled and down to earth. Highly recommended. Easy to get in, payment as expected.
He was nice, he replaced Dr. Jarman who made me feel comfortable even though he only had met me once. Mauro was nice, but maybe I was so turned off by his assistant, I felt he was just okay. His assistant however, seems like a yuppie, and makes you feel your an inconvenience. She swabbed my mouth on the outside of my gums, but when he poked numerous spots that wasn't numbed all the way, I did yell or make a loud noise cause yes im sorry it hurt, b/c of the last Dr. trying to pull my tooth out and couldn't... and she tells me... read more
