I think Dr Lurio is an excellent doctor, but like the other people on here the wait is completely ridiculous. It's not a deal breaker for me though, I feel very comfortable with him and have had nothing but great experiences there. Maybe instead of being angry New Yorkers people should schedule a late in the day appointment and enjoy leaving work a couple of hours early.

I would not write this if it didn't happen several times. I have spent from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours beyond my scheduled appointment time waiting to see him. In this economy, when every hour of work counts, it is disgraceful that this doctor does not regard his patients' time as being as valuable as his own. It is also nearly impossible to secure an appoinment with him - and then when you do, you need to miss half a day of work because he is always late. Dr. Lurio was my PCP for over two years. During that time I became very sick and when I recovered I found myself battling chronic fatigue and global pain. Dr. Lurio does not believe that chronic fatigue is a medical condition and told me to see a psychiatrist. Because of this attitude I lost two years of recovery time; two years of my life.
